West Point Lighthouse Inn & Museum

The West Point Lighthouse Inn & Museum is located in beautiful West Point, PEI. Canada's first inn in an active lighthouse, the historic property is currently home to 13 accommodations and an extensive museum dedicated to the community, the lightkeeping, and the area folklore. Standing 69 feet above PEI's famous red sand dunes, the tower is famous for its unique look, with the tapered square of its build and the black and white striped paint. Local folklore describes tales of burning ships visible on the Northumberland Strait, buried treasure along the beach, and former lightkeeper William "Lighthouse Willie" MacDonald haunting the tower. Offering the rare opportunity to stay in an active lighthouse, the West Point Lighthouse Inn & Museum is an experience that will not soon be forgotten.
