The Maven Gypsy Bed & Breakfast and Cottages is situated on the beautiful Cabot Trail in the Cape Breton region of Nova Scotia. Sitting high on a hill overlooking a freshwater pond with wildlife such as moose, beavers and bald eagles, we have a stunning view of the ocean. Watch whales from the dining area, living room, or bedroom window. We are minutes away from Spectacular Cape Smokey, and steps away from a beautiful pebble ocean beach.Nearby, Highlands National Park features steep cliffs and deep river canyons that sculpt a forested plateau bordering the Atlantic Ocean. One third of the Cabot Trail runs through the national park along the coasts and over the highlands. Hiking trails running through the park and surrounding areas can be traversed on foot, with or without snowshoes. Carved out of the Highlands Nation Park is the world-famous Highland Links Golf Course, where golfers can test their skills in traditional Scottish fashion, on a course by the sea. For those who enjoy peaceful solitude, kayaking and freshwater fishing are also available moments away.Our accommodations include four rooms (twin, double and queen beds),  with ensuite or private baths (3-piece  with a shower and 4-piece). We also have four housekeeping cottages (twin and queen beds) with 3-piece (shower) baths. All rooms include electric heat, coffeemaker, fridge and barbecue.
