Located a stone's throw away from the famous Peggy's Point Lighthouse - right in the heart of Nova Scotia's beloved fishing village - the Breakwater Inn sits on 8 acres of oceanfront land and 1,340 feet of bold, rocky shoreline in Peggy's Cove. Our location is great for adventurists, boating enthusiasts, photographers, artists, nature lovers and explorers. Our season runs from April 1st to November 30th. Although we are happy to accommodate special requests for our off-season.Our rates include a variety of breakfast options. All of our rooms have an ensuite bathroom, free Wi-Fi and TV, a mini fridge, a comfortable Queen-sized bed as well as a sofa bed. There is a good-sized balcony which looks out to Peggy's Cove Fishing Village and we are wheelchair accessible.  Our website offers secure online booking.  Reservations are recommended.During the day, our guests enjoy strolling through our quaint fishing village while fishermen come and go from the local wharf.  Local storyboards detail the geology and history of our village and our guests enjoy browsing the gift shops and stopping for refreshments while taking in the spectacular views of the Cove. In the evening, many of our guests enjoy a leisurely walk along the shoreline to watch the sunset over the lighthouse.  The Peggy’s Cove area is central for day trips to surrounding sights; Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, St. Margaret's Bay and Halifax offer an abundance of activities to appeal to a wide variety of interests and our local staff is always on-hand to help you plan for the best excursions possible.Hike within the thousand acre Peggy's Cove Preservation Area. Glaciers shaped the land thousands of years ago, ancient boulders, some weighing many tons are scattered along the coast. This area is very delicate and we ask that you stay on the paths already created by the many people who have explored the area.
