Sherbrooke Village Inn

Located on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, the historic community of Sherbrooke is alive with history dating back to 1860s and beyond. We are in a central location that allows our visitors to explore, via day trips, the Bay of Fundy (4 hr), Halifax (3 hr), Antigonish (45 min), and the warm sandy beaches of the Northumberland Shore (1 hr).The Sherbrooke Village Inn offers 12 motel units (king, queen, double beds), three housekeeping cabins (double, single beds), and one (three-bedroom) guesthouse (king, double and single beds). A coffee maker, satellite TV, private bath, and free Wi-Fi internet connection are included in all of the accommodations. Our rooms are clean, comfortable, and affordable, with the bonus of a peaceful woodland setting to help you get a good night’s rest after a long day of traveling. We are a pet-friendly establishment (on leash, $15 pet fee); please help us keep our wilderness areas clean by picking up after your pet. Our Dining Room Whether you are staying with us or just passing by, come in and enjoy a home-cooked meal in our licensed, air conditioned dining room, which is open to the public from May through to October and offers a full-service menu: breakfast, luncheon, and fine dining for evening meals. All our meals are prepared fresh from scratch daily in our country kitchen. From staple lunchtime meals such as fish and chips and club sandwiches to fine-dining meals such as poached Atlantic salmon and fresh roast turkey dinner (with all the fixings!), we serve a wide range of dishes to please both young and old. Fresh seafood includes Haddock, Atlantic Salmon, and Scallops. We also serve New York Striploin Steak grilled to your liking. Our motel has served such guests as Terry Fox, Rick Hansen, Rita MacNeil, Charlton Heston, The Men of the Deeps, Michael J. Fox, and Sonny Van Deusen. We were also sought out by Dreams Come True (a world-wide wish foundation for sick children). Our Natural Setting Beautiful and rustic, our local beaches along the rugged Atlantic coastline and undisturbed woodland areas provide the opportunity to watch wildlife around every turn! With numerous opportunities for the nature lover to enjoy, this is the ultimate nature and photography lovers' retreat. During your stay, take the opportunity to explore our local hiking/biking trails, kayak the St. Mary’s River, go fishing, or play a round of golf. We are a ten-minute walk from the St. Mary’s River and the historic Sherbrooke Village Museum. St. Mary’s River, the longest river in Nova Scotia, has been voted among the top 10 rivers to canoe in Canada. Also nearby are the St. Mary’s River Association Salmon Museum, Goldenville Mining Museum, Port Bickerton Lighthouse Interpretive Centre, and St. Mary’s River Smokehouse (located right across the street). We are proud to say that our area hosts the largest population of wood turtles in Nova Scotia.
