The Quarterdeck is one of Nova Scotia’s hidden treasures.  Perched on spectacular Summerville Beach, a mile of one of the province's nicest white sand beaches, the Quarterdeck has been a popular travel destination for more than 85 years.Centrally located on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, the Quarterdeck is just 1.5 hour drive from Halifax, Yarmouth and Annapolis Royal.   Our accommodations include 28 units: luxury two-bedroom Villas (Queen & Twin), with fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces in the living room, 3-piece and 4-piece bath/jacuzzi or whirlpool, cable television, upper balcony and lower deck; one-bedroom suites (Double) with galley kitchen, fireplace in living room, 3-piece bath and deck; luxury lofts; and a three-bedroom cottage (Queen, Queen, Twin), with kitchen, fireplace, 4-piece bath/jacuzzi, and large deck. All accommodations have cable television, DVD, Apple TV, wireless internet and BBQ. Our villas are open year-round and the one-bedroom suites and three-bedroom cottage are open May to October. Other amenities include a licensed dining room and gift shop. The Quarterdeck Grill has earned a reputation as the South Shore’s finest destination for fresh local seafood. The Grill offers Lobster Thermidor, Scallop Linguine, delicately baked fish, bountiful salads, great steaks and irresistible homemade desserts. In addition to the locally sourced food menu, the Grill features wines from around the province, and boasts a good selection of local craft beer. The Quarterdeck is a member of the Taste of Nova Scotia and received the Taste of Nova Scotia Restaurant of the Year Award in 2005. The New Quarterdeck Grill anticipates only being closed for the months of January & February. There is seating for 122 people inside and 48 people on the deck.There is so much to see and do while you are here – beachcombing and beach volleyball, or just sitting back and soaking in the view. Some nearby activities and attractions include golfing, boogie boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, museums, exploring the many beaches, hiking Kejimkujik National Park and Thomas H. Raddall Provincial Park, fishing, and going on a boat cruise.  Take a day trip to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or go whale watching on the Bay of Fundy.Whether you are enjoying the comfort of our own villa, or dining in the restaurant, the views are amazing.
