Main-à-Dieu Fishermen’s Museum, located in Cape Breton’s Coastal Discovery Centre, provides a fascinating insight into the changes and challenges faced by the fishing industry over the past 100 years. The museum features an impressive collection of fishing paraphanelia, replicas of fishing boats and historic images from Main-à-Dieu’s past. Our museum is in close proximity to the Main-à-Dieu Boardwalk which overlooks a picturesque sandy beach. Visitors can purchase light snacks at the nearby Big Wave Café. The Coastal Discovery Centre’s C@P site is also available to visitors and includes 7 computers, all with internet access.
