The Inverness Miners’ Museum is located in the Canadian National Railway Station (1901) in Inverness on Cape Breton Island. Established in 1977, the Museum presents the coal-mining history of the area in a series of engaging displays. The collection reflects the pioneering and mining history of the community from 1803 to the 19th- and 20th-century mining eras. Permanent exhibits include vintage photography, paintings, drawings and artifacts, such as fossils.
