Banks Road VHR oceanfront/beachfront house was built in 2004. The house was built with an open, bright, happy concept to accommodate up to six people comfortably.

The living/dining room combo has a 20-foot cathedral-style pine tongue-and-groove ceiling with huge windows looking out onto a beautiful view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It also has a wonderful wood fireplace.

There are maple hardwood floors throughout the house. The kitchen features butcher block counter tops and a refinished antique farmhouse sink with the Gulf view.

There is a huge deck that has three separate entrances and includes an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

There is a first-floor bedroom with twin antique wrought-iron beds. Next to that bedroom is a full bathroom including shower. The laundry area is located in the hallway adjacent to the bathroom. 

The second floor is fabulous! This is an open loft-style bedroom with a king-size antique wrought-iron bed and a futon double bed. This is one big loft area and the beds are all in the same room together. Great for adults or children. 

There is a large bathroom with an incredible tiled steam shower. On a rainy day after a hike, run or ride, this steam is wonderful! Great views from the many windows too.

Our house sits 300 feet in from the road on 17 acres. Very private. There is a hiking path through our property's woods (about 15-20 minutes' walk; 600 metres/1800 feet) to our beautiful beach. Depending on physical capabilities, the hike and beach access may be easy or difficult. Please use caution.

All this just one mile from the town of Inverness, which has shopping, restaurants, a public beach with café, and Cabot Links golf courses.
