We Love Breakfast!

Gary and I love going out for breakfast! So what better way to kick off early spring then going for a ride and "do" breakfast.

Easter Weekend we headed to Digby, Nova Scotia and heading into Digby we found Josie's Place, with a front sign all day breakfast. It doesn't get better than that so we took a chance and Josie's Place turned out to be an excellent choice. A good breakfast menu, prices seemed a little high until we realized the price included coffee or tea (refills on the coffee). The food and service is great Murals at Josies Place Restaurant

Wood carvings Tracie DugasFrom the outside it looks like the usual diner but inside, the restaurant is bright and well decorated with brightly painted murals on the walls of fishing boats and water-- Digby is about the scallop fishing.  Also unique are the original whimsical wood carvings created by Tracie Dugas  Weymouth NS.

Drop by and try it out!

Yesterday, on a roll with breakfast we stopped in at the Capital Pub in Middleton Nova Scotia. We have visited here before numerous times for supper and our first time for breakfast. Originally the movie theater, Capital Pub remembers its beginnings with a sketched mural of old film stars and an old style projector as you enter the pub section (there is also a restaurant area). We enjoy the ambiance of the pub with its propane stove blazing in the winter. Another good place to eat.
